Anyone else see the clock on the nightstand when Brennan was in bed?? Looked an awful lot like the one in the 'dream' episode. That sneaky Hart Hanson.
good eye Theresa!
What about Brennan's watch? She doesn't wear her Rolex anymore! But anyway, I think it was the first episode of this new season that I really liked. I hope that the following episodes get better because i feel like the "old" Bones has disappeared, there's no chemistry at all!P.S.: Sorry for my english, I'm spanish and this is my first post here :)
welcome Jessica! your english is perfect.
Jessica I completely agree! This episode felt like the old Bones we know and love. I have to say this is one of my favorite episodes. Emily did such a great job in it. It couldn't have been easy to be in EVERY scene. Welcome to the blog by the way :o)
Thanks Erin and Rachel! You're right Rachel, in this episode Emily was AMAZING (as always). I can't even imagine how hard it must be to be in every scene without a break and still doing such a wonderful acting. I think she should finally get the Emmy just for this episode.I'm happy to finally follow this blog and post in it because I really love Bones and so I can be aware of what's gonna happen, what people think and all that stuff. Sadly, here in Spain this show isn't so popular and it's just started the new season so thank god that exists such thing as the internet. Can't wait to watch next episode, when it airs? In January?
WAIT! I don't understand! It can never work now because of the awkward tension between Booth, Bones, and Hannah. When I was watching her sit in the car sobbing after she told Booth that she didn't want to miss her chance I figured that this must have been some sort of mistake. It can never work now. Please help me understand why ya'll like it so much.
Great eye on thealarm clock! I feel like Hannah will leave, maybe, in the next couple of episodes. She might find out what was said between Bones and Booth, because he said he loves her and that he is no "in love" with her. He always say being "in love" is what counts. YES! I hope Emily wins an Emmy for this episode, she did amazing things. This is my first post, and I'm pretty excited about it, :).
I spent the whole episode going, "What?! She's acting like Booth and he's acting like her!" She's emotional and irrational and not our usual Brennan. Overall, I didn't like this episode very much because the world was upside down (as mentioned in one conversation with Micah the night watchman). And I *never* in a million years thought that Booth would actually be the driver in the car when Brennan said she missed her chance with him. I figured it was tricky editing and it would be Angela. How the heck can they resolve this? Is it going to be like the last half of season 5 where Booth was awkward around Brennan? Also, what happened to Brennan's family ring with the sapphires? When did she start wearing the dolphin ring?Anyone else feel like the "Hannah's not a consolation prize" was more for the fans of the show than for Brennan? That didn't make much sense.
I have followed this series for so long but i have been losing interest in it as I do not get the Hannah thing. true that after a year a lot of things change and Brennan not getting in touch at all with Booth might have made him feel like putting himself out there. However, in the car when she is pouring her heart out, i just did not get his reaction. he could not have loved her that much and having given her such cold response. I think that the writers are losing it a bit. and the show is losing its faithful audience. people are just not interested in this anymore. the sould of this show is disappearing
@Valentina I think of it as Bones is now feeling what Booth felt when she rejected him.. His heart was crushed and he had to move on..
Melissa-I never thought of it being anyone else in the car when Bones opened up like that. I LOVE the idea of it being Angela!! That would've been a great storyline I think because the audience could've seen Bones open up and then we could've seen her trying to decide whether she should tell Booth or not in the next half of the season! I think I would've liked that better than her spilling to Booth.
Kemi, that's an interesting angle
When Booth made his confession of his feelings to Brennan, he really put himself out there and was crushed. To recover, he had to distance himself from her, just as Bones often distances herself from others, as a self-protection strategy. Now Brennan realizes the cost of that protection--the risk she runs in isolating herself--and being the direct person she is, she goes straight to Booth to problem-solve. However, now Booth's the one who can't open his heart to her, both because he has a commitment to someone else and because he can't risk that kind of pain again. He probably doesn't want to again risk losing his friendship with Brennan which, as some pointed out, was strained when he tried for something more. In other words, their timing stinks. Even if Hannah leaves the picture, it's not as though Booth would just jump into something with Brennan. His world turned upside down, and in order to make it right again, he put some distance between them. The question becomes one of what it would take for these damaged, wary, hurting people to both take a huge risk on one another.Um, that's my $0.02, and this is my first post. Thanks for this blog!
Lesley-I really like what you have to say on this matter. I don't think that B/B missed their chance to be together at all. I think that it's just a matter of when will they both be ready and willing to give it a shot at the same time. One of these days the planets will align and they will both be ready for a relationship. Until then we just have to be patient I think.-Rachel(www.bonesanonymous.blogspot.com)
I thought the doctor in the photo was really odd. But, I think that this season for some reason they have really amplified the fact that Bones is logical and not emotional (so much so that it began to bother me). So, in this episode I think they are trying to kind o begin to undo this a little. What really bothered me was that now its like Bones and Booth can't get together because it will always be so awkward!! NO!
Great acting in this one. I'm wondering if the entire episode is Brennan writing ideas for a new novel and is just playing the story line out in her mind.
