Ratings were generally up Thursday night as a number of shows, including "Grey's Anatomy," "Bones," "CSI" and "The Mentalist," posted gains over last week. The usual order of things didn't change any, however, which meant CBS ended the night in first place.
CBS scored 13.5 million viewers and an 8.2 rating/14 share in households for the night, an improvement of about 800,000 viewers over last week. ABC (9 million, 5.7/9) was also up. FOX came in third with 7.2 million viewers and a 4.4/7, beating NBC (4.9 million, 3.0/5) by a healthy margin. The CW averaged 3.2 million viewers and a 2.0/3, but those numbers are inflated some because affiliates in Chicago and Miami aired an NFL game.
CBS' lead in the adults 18-49 demographic was much smaller. It earned a 3.3 rating, narrowly beating ABC's 3.1. FOX, 2.3, edged NBC, 2.2, for third place, while The CW came in at 1.1.
