BONES “The Maggots in the Meathead” Season 6 Episode 3
In this episode a corpse of a body builder is found buried in the sand on the beach near the Jersey Shore. Delving into that world, Booth and Bones are put on the case and have a lot of suspects to question. There is some trouble understanding the natives, but luckily Bones has been watching the tv show (thinking it was a documentary of course) and handles the translations for Booth. First they think it’s the jilted ex-girlfriend, then possibly the bouncer who got caught by the victim distributing steroids. In the end though, it turns out it was all about ice, of all things. A bartender mistook the victim for a jerk that was always stealing ice from him (because the two were wearing the same shirt that night) and he lost his temper and beat him over the head.
Meanwhile Booth asks Hannah to move in with him and Bones actually helps her to pick out the perfect housewarming gift.
favorite bits…
Hannah and Booth realizing that, without any bombs to drown them out, they are.. ahem. louder stateside.
Wanting to puke at the jumping maggots. You’d think by now I would learn NOT to eat when watching the first part of this show.
Seeing that Fisher is back. Yay! Now all the interns have been back. Whew, I was so worried they were going to replace them all.
Bones correcting Booth on his pronunciation of L’il Frankie.
Fisher referring to the victim’s brain bleeding out his skull as “sweet oblivion”. LOL.
This line from Bones: “Eureka! A gathering of guidos.”
The entire party freaking out at the news that “Richie the V” was dead.
Bones’ description of Booth’s love of an old rotary phone kinda making me miss the one we had when I was a kid.
Bones telling Hannah that she should be sure of her feelings of Booth before she decides to move in, as it would be painful for him if she wasn’t as serious as he was.
Cam spotting Angela eating crackers on her couch and figuring out she’s pregnant.
Bones breaking down the behavior of the people in the bar in anthropological terms. LOL.
Bones saying “It’s so random, y’all.”
Sweets translating all the crazy text speak.
Cracking up after it took me a second to figure out what “4Q” meant. (Hint: you gotta say it fast).
Sweets’ “oh boy.” after Booth did his best to convince him that he was more than ready to have Hannah move in with him.
Hodgins getting worried when Fisher started yawning, as he didn’t want him falling asleep again for a couple months.
Booth going all badass when the bouncer tried to threaten him and shoved Bones.
The bouncer not wanting to reveal that his alibi was taking his mom to see Billy Elliott and offering to perform the whole story as proof.
Booth coming home to find all the girls hanging out in his living room.
Booth figuring out Angela’s little secret and telling her she’ll be a great mom. So sweet.
Overall another great episode of Bones. Watching Bones interact with all the guidos was hilarious and I thought it was sweet how she helped Hannah pick out the right present for Booth. We can see it’s not easy for her, but she’s the one who told Booth they couldn’t be together so she’s doing her best to stick to her guns. I wonder how long she can keep it up though.
